Product: Power point presentation on a French artist
Objective: Student will become familiar with the life and work of a French
artists and will be able to describe the period and movement to
which they belonged.
Steps: 1. Choose an artist to research
2. Complete the research
3. Find a photo of the artist and two works by that artist
4. Combine the research and images in a Power Point presentation.
Research:
1. When and where was the artist born?
2. Early life/education
3. Did the artist have a previous career before devoting themselves to art?
4. Other artists who influenced them.
5. What movement did this artist belong to? Give me 3 things that defined that movement.
6. Choose two (2) exemplars of the artists work:
a. Title of work
b. Talk about the techniques used- how it is a good example of what made this artist famous
7. Other information that you find interesting.
Document all sources on the final slide of the show.
